artwork-for-a-living-room-mediterranean-coastal-watercolour-sotto-il-sole-di-amalfi-set-of-3
Artwork for a Living Room Mediterranean Coastal Watercolour "Sotto il sole di Amalfi" | Set of 3

Bring the holiday feeling of the Mediterranean straight into your home with this gorgeous set of three artwork for a living room wall art prints. Each piece is a loose, expressive watercolour illustration — the kind that feels relaxed and joyful rather than stiff or formal — capturing sun-drenched coastal scenes filled with soft blues, warm whites, sandy neutrals, pops of terracotta, coral and lush green. Think lazy lunches on seaside terraces, a charming Amalfi townhouse draped in palm trees, and sparkling blue sea stretching out into the distance. It's the sort of artwork that makes you feel like you're already on holiday.

I absolutely love how these three prints work together as a set. The centre print features a beautiful whitewashed building with a vivid red door, green shutters, balconies brimming with flowers, and palm trees framing a glimpse of a landmark tower — and it even carries the handwritten Italian phrase Sotto il sole di Amalfi beneath the scene, which translates to 'Under the Amalfi sun'. The left print shows a bistro terrace table laid with seafood, wine and glasses, with a rocky coastal bay stretching out behind. The right print echoes that same alfresco dining mood with a terracotta-toned table set with colourful dishes and drinks, a busy harbour of little boats below, and white-washed clifftop buildings tumbling into the blue. Together they tell a whole story — and that's what makes them so special as artwork for a living room.

What's Included with Artwork for a Living Room Mediterranean Coastal Watercolour "Sotto il sole di Amalfi" | Set of 3

A set of 3 art prints featuring original watercolour-style Mediterranean coastal illustrations, printed in the UK with fade-resistant pigment inks for long-lasting colour

Suitable for indoor use — colours stay vibrant and fresh for years to come

The framed and canvas-wrapped options arrive ready to hang straight out of the box, saving you the time and hassle of hunting for a frame that fits — the unframed option is the print only

Choose between unframed and framed options in multiple sizes and in Luster or Museum quality; also available in wrapped canvas size options

How to Style Artwork for a Living Room with a Coastal Mediterranean Feel

I'd hang all three prints in a row at eye level above a sofa or a console table, with a consistent gap between each one — somewhere between 5 and 8 cm looks really balanced. Because the palette is light and airy — all those soft blues, warm whites and sandy tones — these prints work beautifully against white, off-white or even a pale duck-egg wall. They'd also sit brilliantly against a warm limewash or natural linen wallpaper if you're going for that full Mediterranean decor feel. If you want to lean into the coastal, summery look, pair them with natural textures like rattan, jute or linen nearby — a woven cushion or a wooden side table will echo those warm, earthy tones perfectly.

Don't limit yourself to the living room, either — this set would look just as wonderful in a dining room or a kitchen where you want that relaxed, sun-soaked Amalfi Coast atmosphere every single day. For more coastal and Mediterranean wall art inspiration, browse our full coastal wall art collection — there are some really lovely pieces in there that would work alongside these prints beautifully.

Choosing the Right Size and Style for Your Wall

Before you choose your size, it's worth thinking about the wall space you have in mind. For a standard sofa — say around 180–200 cm wide — a medium print size for each of the three works really well, giving you a generous spread without overwhelming the room. If you have a larger feature wall or a big open-plan living space, go bigger; these watercolour illustrations have plenty of detail and they really sing at a larger scale.

The soft, light palette here means these prints won't clash with much — but they're at their best in a room that already has a touch of coastal or Mediterranean character, or in a neutral space where you want to introduce some warmth and colour without going overboard. If your living room is on the darker side, the bright whites and blues in these prints will actually help lift the room and make it feel sunnier. And if you're choosing between Luster and Museum quality paper, Museum paper gives a slightly more matte, fine-art feel, while Luster has a gentle sheen that makes the colours pop just a little more — both are beautiful, so it really comes down to personal taste.
