retro-travel-posters-london-scenes-terracotta-white-wall-art-prints-set-of-3
Retro Travel Posters London Scenes Terracotta & White Wall Art Prints | Set of 3

Bring the charm of London straight into your home with these retro travel posters — a set of three hand-illustrated scenes that capture the city at its most cosy and characterful. The left print depicts a flower-filled Covent Garden market frontage, bursting with blooms, warm amber bunting and rich terracotta pots against a white-painted Georgian building. The central piece shows a grand white domed building surrounded by vivid autumn trees in burnt red, warm gold-toned amber and earthy greens, with seasonal pumpkins and foliage at its base — and the delicate handwritten words "Wintertime in London" sit just beneath. The right print shows a quiet London street in winter, bare trees strung with festive lights, warm sandy-toned townhouses, and a little group of friends at a café table — soft, inviting and full of quiet life. Together, the three share a beautiful palette of white, grey, warm terracotta and muted autumn golds that feels timeless rather than trendy.

I absolutely love this set — it has that storybook quality where you keep noticing new little details the longer you look. The illustrative watercolour style feels genuinely nostalgic, like a beloved old travel postcard, and the warm earthy tones make it work beautifully above a fireplace where you want something that draws the eye without overwhelming the space. If you're a London-lover or simply someone who appreciates art that tells a story, this set is a really special choice.

What's Included with Retro Travel Posters London Scenes Terracotta & White Wall Art Prints | Set of 3

A set of 3 individual London-scene art prints, each featuring a unique hand-illustrated design in a cohesive terracotta, white and warm autumn palette

Printed in the UK using fade-resistant pigment inks for lasting colour — suitable for indoor display

Framed and canvas-wrapped options arrive ready to hang straight away, saving you the hassle of hunting down a frame that fits perfectly — the unframed option is the print only

Choose between unframed and framed options in multiple sizes and in Luster or Museum quality; also available in wrapped canvas size options

How to Style retro travel posters Above Your Fireplace

Above a fireplace is honestly one of my favourite spots for a set like this. I'd hang all three in a horizontal row at eye level, with an even gap — around 5–8 cm works well — between each print so they read as a considered set rather than a jumble. The white and terracotta tones in these London scenes look particularly warm against off-white, warm grey or even a deep charcoal chimney breast, letting the autumn colours in the art really sing. If your mantelpiece already has objects on it, keep them simple — a candle or two and a small plant is plenty when the art above is this detailed.

These prints also work brilliantly as a travel-themed gallery if you ever want to expand the wall beyond the fireplace — their consistent illustrative style means they'll sit happily alongside other city prints in the same hand-drawn aesthetic. For a cohesive look throughout the room, pick up a cushion or throw in a burnt terracotta or warm rust and the whole space will feel effortlessly pulled together. Have a browse of our travel wall art collection for more pieces that complement this set beautifully.

Choosing the Right Size and Paper Finish for These London Prints

Because all three prints hang together, getting the sizing right is key. Measure the width of your fireplace first — as a rough guide, the total spread of the three prints (including the gaps between them) should be roughly the same width as the chimney breast or just a little narrower, so the arrangement looks intentional and balanced. If your fireplace is on the smaller side, the medium sizes will feel perfectly proportioned; for a larger, grander fireplace wall, going a size up on each print makes a real visual statement without the set feeling lost.

For paper finish, I'd lean towards the Museum quality option for these — the illustrative watercolour style and the subtle textures in the artwork really come to life on a premium paper, and above a fireplace it's worth getting the best version you can. That said, Luster is a gorgeous finish too and handles the warm terracotta and white tones really well, with a gentle sheen that catches the light nicely. Scroll down to see how each size looks above a fireplace before you decide — there's a size-guide image below showing every option in that exact setting.

About Wall
