travel-art-prints-autumn-in-new-york-nyc-watercolour-manhattan-set-of-3
Travel Art Prints "Autumn in New York" NYC Watercolour Manhattan | Set of 3

Hang these travel art prints above your fireplace and you'll instantly feel that crisp, golden energy of New York in autumn. Each of the three prints is a soft watercolour illustration — the Brooklyn Bridge peeking through rust-red and amber trees, a bustling Manhattan flower market stall with its black-and-white striped awning and bundles of blooms, and a charming brownstone shopfront draped in coral and orange flowers with pumpkins and gourds at the door. The palette moves between warm coral and terracotta tones, soft grey, and clean white backgrounds, giving the whole set a cosy, seasonal feel that never tips into garish.

I love this set for anyone who has a soft spot for New York — or for anyone who simply wants that warm, autumnal energy on their walls without it being too loud. The white backgrounds keep it light and airy, so it works just as well in a smaller space as it does above a wide fireplace. The three scenes feel made for each other, but each one holds its own too.

What's Included with Travel Art Prints "Autumn in New York" NYC Watercolour Manhattan | Set of 3

A set of 3 individual art prints, each featuring a distinct watercolour illustration of an autumnal New York City scene

Printed in the UK using fade-resistant pigment inks for long-lasting, vivid colour — suitable for indoor display

Framed and canvas-wrapped options arrive ready to hang straight away, saving you the hassle of hunting down a frame that fits

Choose between unframed and framed options in multiple sizes and in Luster or Museum quality; also available in wrapped canvas size options

How to Style travel art prints Above a Fireplace

I'd hang all three in a row at the same height, centred above the mantelpiece, with an even gap between each one — roughly 3 to 5 cm works beautifully. Because the backgrounds are white and the tones are warm coral, grey and amber, these prints sit happily against off-white, warm grey or even a soft sage-green wall. If your fireplace surround is white or light stone, the contrast with those rich autumnal coral tones will really sing. You can find more ideas for grouping sets together on our travel wall art collection page.

If you want to echo the NYC theme through the rest of the room, keep other accessories simple — think natural textures like linen cushions or a jute rug, and maybe a small terracotta pot or two on the mantelpiece itself. The prints do the talking; everything else can play a supporting role. And if autumn is your favourite season, this set will make your living room feel like a little love letter to Manhattan every single day of the year.

Finding the Right Size and Finish for Your Wall

Before you decide on a size, it's worth measuring the width of your fireplace or mantelpiece. As a rule of thumb, the combined width of the three prints (including any gaps between them) should sit between half and two-thirds of the width of the wall space above the fire — that way the set looks intentional rather than lost. If your chimney breast is on the wider side, go for a larger size so the prints hold their own. For a narrower or cosier nook, a smaller option keeps things balanced.

For finish, I'd suggest Luster paper if you want that clean, slightly sheen look that makes the watercolour washes really pop — it handles the warm coral and soft grey tones brilliantly. Museum quality paper gives a more matte, gallery-like result that feels wonderfully refined. Both are printed with fade-resistant inks, so whichever you choose, the colours will stay true for years. If you prefer something with a bit more depth and texture, the wrapped canvas option is a lovely choice — it adds a tactile quality that suits the painterly watercolour style of these illustrations perfectly.

Scroll down to see how each size looks above a fireplace before you decide — there's a size-guide image below showing every option in that exact
