Each piece captures a quiet, wintry scene of Manhattan — the iconic Brooklyn Bridge dusted with snow on the left, a dreamy Central Park ice-skating scene labelled Winter in New York in the centre, and a bustling holiday street in the Big Apple on the right, complete with festive wreaths and tiny figures walking beneath a pale wintry sky. The palette is soft and grounding — creamy beige, cool off-white, dusty sage greens, muted blues and the faintest blush tones — nothing loud, nothing garish, just that lovely calm you get from a really good watercolour illustration.

What I really love about these prints is how they tell a story together. You get the landmark, the moment, and the atmosphere of NYC in winter, all in one cohesive set. They suit anyone who has visited New York and wants to hold onto that feeling, or anyone who simply dreams of it. They're warm without being fussy, and that soft beige and pastel palette means they sit beautifully in all sorts of homes.

What's Included with Travel Wall Art Decor New York Winter Watercolour "Winter in New York" Beige Pastel NYC | Set of 3

A set of 3 individual art prints, each featuring a distinct wintry New York City scene in soft beige and pastel tones

Printed in the UK using fade-resistant pigment inks for long-lasting colour

Suitable for indoor use only

Framed and canvas-wrapped options arrive ready to hang — no need to hunt for a frame that fits, which saves you a lot of time and hassle

Choose between unframed and framed options in multiple sizes and in Luster or Museum quality; also available in wrapped canvas size options

How to Style travel wall art decor Like This Above Your Fireplace

These three prints were made for above a fireplace — honestly, it's the first place I pictured them. Hang all three in a row at the same height, with an equal gap between each one (around 4–6 cm works well for most mantels). Because the palette is so soft and neutral — all those creamy beiges, faded greens and muted blues — they pair wonderfully with warm white walls, pale grey plaster tones, or even a classic Victorian tiled surround. The prints won't fight anything in the room; they simply add a quiet, well-travelled feel that draws the eye without overwhelming the space.

If you'd like to lean into the NYC theme, a few simple accessories help — a small globe, a vintage map, a potted trailing plant on the mantel. Keep it light and uncluttered. These prints also work beautifully in a hallway or a home study, anywhere you want a touch of wanderlust without going bold. For more New York and city travel print inspiration, browse our full travel wall art collection.

Choosing the Right Size and Style for Your Space

Because this is a set of three, getting the sizing right matters more than it does with a single print. I'd suggest measuring the width of your fireplace breast first, then working backwards — as a rough guide, all three prints together should ideally span about two-thirds to three-quarters of the wall width above the mantel. If you have a wider chimney breast, go for a larger size option; for a more modest alcove, the smaller sizes keep things proportionate and tidy.

Think about the paper finish too. The Luster option gives a gentle sheen that makes the soft watercolour tones glow quietly — it's my go-to for living room pieces. Museum quality paper has a completely matt surface, which feels more gallery-like and really suits the illustrative, hand-painted style of these prints. Either way, the beige and pastel palette will feel right at home above a fireplace, working with the warmth that naturally radiates from that part of a room.

Not sure which size looks best above a fireplace?
