Each print features a loose, painterly watercolour illustration of an al-fresco coastal dining scene — think striped café chairs pulled up to a white-clothed table, wine bottles, fresh seafood, terracotta pots spilling with flowers, and that unmistakable hazy blue of a calm Mediterranean sea stretching out to the horizon. The palette is soft and sun-washed: creamy whites, dusty blues, muted sandy tones, olive greens, and gentle blush — it feels like a long lunch on the Amalfi Coast captured in ink and watercolour.

The three prints work as a connected set but each one tells its own little story. The left print looks out from a harbour-side terrace over a colourful cliff-top village and shimmering blue water. The centre print — which carries the handwritten script Solo di Amalfi — shows a shaded terrace with a grand olive tree, a street lamp, and a table set for two, framed by the sea beyond. The right print zooms in close on a table laden with oysters, grapes, a glass of rosé and a bottle of wine, with whitewashed Mediterranean buildings and bobbing boats painted softly in the background. Together they are relaxed, joyful, and full of life — exactly the kind of thing that makes a hallway feel genuinely welcoming rather than just a corridor.

What's Included with Wall Art for Hallway Entrance Mediterranean Coastal Dining Scene "Solo di Amalfi" | Set of 3

A set of 3 individual art prints, each featuring a unique watercolour Mediterranean coastal dining illustration

Printed in the UK using fade-resistant pigment inks on premium art paper, for vivid, long-lasting colour

Suitable for indoor use — perfect for hallways, living rooms, kitchens and dining spaces

Framed and canvas-wrapped options arrive ready to hang straight out of the box, saving you the time and hassle of hunting for a frame that fits — the unframed option is the print only

Choose between unframed and framed options in multiple sizes and in Luster or Museum quality; also available in wrapped canvas size options

How to Style wall art for hallway entrance with a Mediterranean Coastal Feel

I'd hang all three prints in a horizontal row at eye level, with equal gaps between each one — about 5 to 8 cm apart tends to look really balanced in a hallway. Because the palette is so soft and airy, these prints sit beautifully against white, warm cream, or even a pale sage-green wall. If your hallway is on the narrower side, don't worry — the white backgrounds keep everything light and open rather than heavy. A simple console table underneath with a small ceramic vase or a woven basket echoes the coastal, Mediterranean mood perfectly and ties the whole look together without any effort.

If you want to lean into the Mediterranean decor trend, try mixing these prints with natural textures — linen runners, rattan mirrors, terracotta accessories — and keep the rest of the hallway uncluttered so the illustrations have room to breathe. These prints also work wonderfully at the top of a staircase or along a landing where you want something relaxed and evocative rather than formal. For more coastal and Mediterranean wall art ideas, have a browse of our Coastal Wall Art collection — there are plenty of pieces that pair beautifully with this set.

Choosing the Right Size and Finish for Your Hallway

Getting the size right makes such a difference in a hallway. As a general rule, I'd suggest the three prints together should span roughly two-thirds of the width of your wall — so measure the wall first and work backwards from there. In a standard UK hallway (usually around 90–120 cm wide), A3 or A2 prints per panel tend to hit that sweet spot: noticeable but not overwhelming. If you have a wider or open-plan entrance, going up a size makes the set feel properly considered rather than a bit lost on the wall.

For finish, Luster paper gives a gentle sheen that makes the soft blues and watercolour washes really sing — it's my go-to for illustrative art like this. If you prefer a completely matte, gallery-style look, Museum quality paper is gorgeous and feels a little more understated. Canvas wrap is a great option if you want something with a bit of texture and depth, and it suits the relaxed, painterly style of these illustrations really well. Scroll down to see how each size looks in a hallway before you decide — there's a size-guide image below showing every option in a real hallway setting so you can picture it
