How to Style Abstract Landscape Art Above a Fireplace

Above a fireplace is honestly one of my favourite spots for a set like this. I'd line all three prints up in a row at roughly eye level — or just slightly above the mantelpiece — with an equal gap between each one, somewhere around 5–8 cm feels just right. Because the tones are so neutral, you don't need to overthink what else is on the mantel; a couple of simple candles or a low vase of dried grasses will complement them perfectly without competing. The black detailing in the climber figures gives the set just enough contrast to hold its own even in a larger room.

Measure the width of your fireplace or chimney breast first — as a general rule, the total width of your three prints hung together should fill roughly two-thirds to three-quarters of that space. If your chimney breast is on the wider side, go for one of the larger size options; if it's a narrower alcove or a smaller room, a medium size will feel more considered and less overwhelming.

Because the artwork itself is almost entirely white and grey, it will sit comfortably on both light and dark walls — though I think it looks especially striking against a warm white or very pale greige. If you're torn between two sizes, I'd usually say go bigger; mountain scenes have real presence and tend to benefit from a bit of scale.
