Bring a genuine sense of calm into your home with these japanese art prints uk — a sweeping ink wash landscape that feels like it was painted with a single, unhurried breath. Across the three prints, a ribbon of smoky blue-grey ink flows from left to right, carrying with it the black silhouettes of gnarled trees, rocky outcrops, a solitary fisherman in a small boat, a traditional pagoda rooftop and a bonsai-like pine perched on the rightmost panel. The whole scene sits against a clean white ground, which gives it that quiet, airy wabi-sabi quality I absolutely love.
It's the kind of art that makes a hallway feel like a pause rather than just a corridor. The near-monochrome palette — deep black, soft blue-grey and white — is incredibly versatile, and the flowing ink style bridges Japanese sumi-e tradition with the pared-back simplicity that defines Japandi decor right now. If you want your hallway to feel calming and considered the moment anyone steps through your front door, this set really delivers that.
I'd hang all three prints in a straight horizontal row at eye level, with an even gap of around 3–5 cm between each panel so the ink ribbon reads as one continuous sweep across the wall. Because the scene flows from left to right — fisherman on the left, pagoda on the right — the order really matters, so lay them out on the floor first to get a feel for the full composition before you put a single nail in the wall. A long, narrow hallway is the perfect home for this set; the horizontal flow of the artwork echoes the shape of the space and draws the eye beautifully towards the end of the corridor.
The black, blue-grey and white palette is wonderfully easy to work with. It sits happily against warm white, pale stone, soft sage or even a deep charcoal wall — the white ground in the art means it never clashes. Add a simple wooden console table beneath it and a neutral runner underfoot and you've got a hallway that feels genuinely zen. For more Japandi styling ideas, have a browse through our Japandi wall art collection — there are plenty of pieces that would work alongside this set in adjoining rooms.
Because this is a triptych — three prints that form one panoramic scene — the combined width matters more than the size of each individual panel. Measure your wall first and work backwards: allow for the gaps between prints and make sure the total spread feels in proportion to the wall rather than lost on it. In a standard hallway I'd usually suggest going for a medium or large size option so the ink wash landscape has real presence; too small and the delicate silhouette details of the fisherman and trees can get a little lost.
For finish, the Museum quality paper brings out every subtle gradation in the blue-grey ink wash tones beautifully and gives the art a gallery-worthy depth — brilliant if you want to really do justice to the fine brushwork. Luster paper is a fantastic everyday choice that still looks sharp and rich. If your hallway gets a lot of natural light, a framed option with glazing gives the print extra protection. Choose from white, black, or oak frames, each handmade here in the UK.
The front is fitted with a perspex panel — it has all the clarity of glass, but it's far lighter, so it won't strain your walls or risk damage, and because it's virtually unbreakable it's a much safer choice in homes with children or pets.
Behind that sits a painted MDF frame with a sturdy MDF backboard.
Your frame comes ready to hang with fixings included — smaller sizes also include a strut, so you can stand them freestanding or hang them in portrait or landscape.
Choose a framed option and your prints arrive fully assembled and ready to hang straight from the box.

The size options shown in the product variants refer to the height and width of each individual unframed print in the set. When ordering a set of 3 prints, keep in mind that the total wall space used will be larger once the frames are added and the prints are spaced out.
To calculate the total width on your wall: add a few centimetres for each frame mould (depending on the frame thickness), multiply the width by 3 (for each print), and leave about 5 cm between each frame for spacing.
All prints are available unframed or framed, depending on the option you select before checkout. If you don't choose a frame, you'll receive high-quality unframed prints ready to mount in your frame.
We also offer our artworks as wrapped canvas prints, which come ready to hang with no framing required. These are a great choice for areas where humidity might be a concern, like bathrooms or kitchens, as they're more resistant to moisture than paper prints.
We use premium 260 gsm satin photo paper that offers a subtle sheen and smooth finish, giving your artwork vibrant colour and crisp detail. This paper is acid-free and built to last, making it ideal for stylish, everyday display.
All our prints are produced using high-resolution digital printing with pigment inks. This method ensures rich, vibrant colours and long-lasting quality, making each piece fade-resistant and beautifully detailed, perfect for showcasing fine art at home.
We do our best to ensure that the colours you see on screen match the prints. However, slight variations can occur due to different monitor settings and lighting conditions in your home.
We recommend using picture hooks, command strips, or wall-safe adhesive hooks, depending on your wall type. When hanging a set, leave approximately 5 cm between each frame to create a balanced, gallery-style arrangement.
